Romantic period was the time which became famous due to the importance of nature that writers started showing through their works. The very concept of romance took a different turn with the popularization of this genre. Romance afterall, was not about love between two persons. Infact, it was about the love for nature. I had read some of the romantic works earlier also but relating this period with the paintings shown in the text book was very interesting and thought provoking. I had never looked at this period from such a perspective which is why this course is valued so much.
